But like everything in life, you have to begin to take baby steps to see figure. starting off small…and as you progress you begin to make better choices and before you know it…you have gotten the results you want.

Below are a series of bad eating habits we, as masses, tend to do and need to move AWAY from as quickly as conceivable. I am sure if you are reading this article, they apply to you:

6 Disgusting Eating Methods to Break for 6 Pack ab muscles

1. Speed Eating

In short, the faster you eat, the less time your body and mind have to determine “how” much you have eaten. So when you have moved on from Course #1 and onto Course #2, assuming your digesting very fast your body/brain haven’t caught up to say ” WTF, wait a minute …lets take it down a notch here”. Before you know it…you have consumed a bunch of calories and now you feel “stuffed”. We have all been there. Eat slower , savor your food. If you can’t savor it, eat tiny portions.

2. boozing Gin

No, I am not saying cut out alcohol altogether (though I personally reckon that would be a wonderful move), but how many times do you plan on “having a beer” or “a glass of wine”, and before you know it 3-4 beers are gone, or half the bottle of beer is missing. Guess what…you have ingested a TON of calories. Write down everytime you have a can . So what, you have three drinks per night, big deal right? Well, multiple that times everyday in the week and it might be 2000+ calories in your system. You have to burn 3500 calories to polish off 1 lb of weight.

3. Skipping meals Brunch) or Snacks

It’s natural to think by not eating, you will lose weight but that is a horrible myth people embody. When you skip meals, your body starts to try and manage your appetite. It also causes your “hunger” to start in, which as we all know causes your strong will to waver. Also, you have to eat to lose weight. Yes, I said it, but you have to eat intelligent. The right mix of carbs, fats, and protein. Spread smaller snacks/meals through the day, every few hours. Keep the portions tiny , but it will curb your hunger and fuel your body in the process.

4. Eating Salty Chips

First, if you are eating something that you KNOW is salty, it’s probably not wakeless at all. Sodium is one of those things that bite you in the you know what, because it builds up very slowly. You eat this or that throughout the day not thinking of the sodium content, and before you know it you have exceeded well beyond the recommended allowance. Add on things like popcorn at the movie theatre, or that quick bag of snack bar heading out the door, and your waist line will only increase . Salt also forces your body to retain water, so if you want to be showing your beautiful pack abs, eating a bunch of salt will kill that idea.

5. Pigging out on Weekends

People often use their time off as “down time”, and that is graspable since a hectic work week mentally and physically drains you. The downside is people get “too” relaxed and let themselves snack and pig out. This is very true for when yo go to a neighbors barbecue, or a birthday society, or just dangling out. How many times do you go to a party and “range”. You hover around the food area just picking at food, but over time all those calories are adding up and before you know it…BOOM your full. Eat something healthy before going to a event , and it will help keep that awful food at bay.

6. Eating in front of the Tube – Unconscious

Everyone is guilty of this. You are trying to relax later a hard day at the office, your favorite show is on or you just slapped in your favorite blue ray disc, and you have that bag of chips on your lap. Before you know it, half the bag is gone, the 2 beers you drank are empty, and you are drifting off to sleep. Your body needs at least 2 hours of being awake after eating your last meal. Your body naturally burns calories, even when you are seated there. By being awake, your body is burning calories to maintain your organs, walking, breathing, etc… So consume your last meal around 7-8pm at night, and by 10pm you can begin to go to sleep. If you fall asleep after eating food , all the calories you just consumed won’t be burned as quickly.

Many of us snooze watching informercials like school loans consolidation snoring away while the food calories build up.

Do your best to eradicate those many horrible eating decisions, and I can 100% anticipate you the six pack abs will come with a delicious diet and health plan included.

Exactly What Foods Are On A Pregnancy Menu?

June 13th, 2011

It might appear tremendously exciting that you have just found out you’re expecting a baby. Along with the fact, that your doctor tells  you it is time to begin eating a healthier far more nourishing diet. The idea of trying to invent some form of pregnancy menu or pregnancy menu plan might seem way too hard a challenge to do yourself. However you’re expecting now, and your unborn baby’s health needs to come first. Coming up with a good pregnancy menu plan is a lot easier than you think.

The very first hurdle to get over is not about what you can eat but more how you look at food. First consider every thing that you eat as a “pregnancy food” or it’s not. all of the many sodas, full of caffeine, or bars of candy loaded with carbohydrates will land on the side of NOT “pregnancy food”.  Getting in a habit of looking at all food that way will go a long way to understanding how you can best help your baby in its nutritional development.

With the belief that you only eat breakfast in the morning at breakfast time, and dinner at dinner time automatically limits all of your choices. If you make something for dinner last night that was healthy, nutritious and also “pregnant-wise” could be as nutritious to have for breakfast in the morning as it was to eat at dinner last night. And likewise, having a healthy omelet on a whole wheat English muffin at dinner time is also just as “pregnant-wise”.

When you are developing a healthy and balanced pregnancy menu you should think about consuming 5 or 6 scaled-down meals then the three standard size meals every day. This tends to do away with the valleys and peaks of your blood sugar levels and will help stabilize your emotions. Furthermore, it’s good for your baby that you’re always replenishing your own nourishing substances while you are both using them for energy during the day.

When thinking about pregnancy foods , or foods you are able to eat that are good for healthy development of your unborn baby, don’t think of just meals. There are various pregnancy snacks available in the marketplace, or those you can make on your own using recipes for pregnant women or those found online. Equally as important as how often throughout the day you eat, is exactly what you take in. Make sure when developing your pregnancy menu that you simply pick a balanced amount of each kind of food from the food pyramid.

Your pregnancy menu needs to be influenced by calorie count. It is very important to maintain a calorie count of the intake of food you are eating every day to be totaled somewhere between 2000 and 2400 calories, if you are a woman between 125 pounds 255 pounds and about 5’4″ tall and does around 30 minutes of exercise each day, within her first trimester.

Remember that you are now eating for 2, so that as the months of your pregnancy goes from the first trimester to the last trimester you can be assured your body will be needing more food. Instead of giving-in to the many cravings you’ll have learn how to recognize all of them and try to determine what exactly it is your body really needs. If you stay on a well-balanced “pregnancy-wise” nutritional diet you will keep all of the cravings to a minimum, mainly because you’re providing your body what it really needs to replenish the nourishing substances your baby and you are using.

Vegetarian Diet Nutrition

June 4th, 2011

If you’re following a plan of vegetarian diet nutrition, are you getting it all? First we have to destroy the myth that eating a Standard American Diet (SAD) provides you with what your body really needs.

If you’ve been studying at the Hippocrates Health Institute for any amount of time, you now know that the food pyramid’s purpose is to serve the lobyists , not your health. Most people on the SAD are starving their body of vitamins and minerals, enzymes and phytochemicals.

Phytochemicals are the electricity of the body. If your energy and reactions in your body are weak, this is the bottom line even more than vitamins and minerals.

You may be on many vitamin supplements, but for the most part the body cannot digest and metabolize them because they are artificial. Only when we get back to our intention and eat fresh organic plant-based food do we find the vitamins, minerals, enzymes and phytochemicals the body can readily use.

You get all these straight from the food you eat when you eat growing sprouts: sunflower seed sprouts, pea green sprouts, alfalfa sprouts, bean sprouts…

…The growing sprouts and wheatgrass have literally 30 times the phytochemicals you find even in other organic vegetables.

Plant-based food in its raw unaltered state contains about half the enzymes you need to digest it. So you can imagine the load you are placing on your body if you regularly consume food that does not come with its own digestive enzymes and is also not easily digestible.

The digestive system is the most energy intensive of all the body’s systems anyway. If you over-burden it with heavily processed, cooked foods and meat, there is little energy left to manage cleansing and repair functions.

Do you ever feel really tired after a meal? I know I have and I always thought it was normal. But you’ll find that eating an 80% raw vegetarian diet, you get the nutrition you need and have a lot more energy.
